Home Sales and Prices in Triangle, NC

Home sales and price information for the Triangle Area, NC are in for July, 2013.  Good news for everyone!

Prices are rising, and interest rates turned upward, yet affordability is still there for folks looking to purchase homes.


Median Sales Price (the point at which exactly half are higher and half are lower) increased 5.5 percent to $202,559.

The Average Home Sale Price in the Triangle, NC is $242,153

Days on Market decreased 17.5 percent to 95 days
I know my sellers are VERY happy about this!

New Listings (a count of properties that have been newly listed on the market) went up 10.7 percent to 3,533.ent up 10.7 percent to 3,533.

Closed Sales (actual number of transactions that sold) were up 34.3 percent

Inventory levels (the number of residential homes available) shrank to 9.9 percent – 13,882 units.  This is important because it affects asking price:  more homes available = lower prices / fewer homes available = higher prices

Absorption rates are great!  Months Supply of Inventory is now at 6.0 months - we are at a balanced market.
